Shipping Essentials


All Consignments Must have the following:
  • Proper packaging
  • A contact Phone number. Every delivery will receive a call to confirm the time and location of delivery.
  • A detailed description of the goods being transported must be completed
  • Accurate and detailed pickup and delivery information is required

    Other Essentials For Pickup and Delivery:
  • Any potential hazards and or obstacles to delivery including long narrow driveways, trees, or any other impediments should be identified under special instructions and or preferably reiterated to the delivery team prior to the delivery.
  • Animals, pets, or livestock that may interfere with, attack or obstruct the delivery team must be suitably restrained and controlled.
  • Machinery must be crated – these goods travel at Owners Risk
  • China and Glass must be professionally packed – these goods travel at Owners Risk
  • Items need to be well packaged and protected
  • Confirm your insurance requirements

    • Insurance Terms and Provisions


  • When entering your shipment details you have an option to choose whether or not to insure your goods via Mainfreight Precision
  • "Declared Value" provides for compensation to the customer in the event of loss or complete destruction up to $1500 value in relation to the cost of the items that have been damaged or lost.
  • Your Risk (known as "Owners Risk") means the customer accepts responsibility for all costs associated with the damage or loss of the items.
  • Insurance under "Declared Value" is available at a cost of 4% of the value of the goods ($20.00 minimum cost applies)
  • If terms of carriage are not stated or selected the consignment will travel at "Owners Risk"
  • Machinery and Glass / China travels at "Owners Risk"


    • Packaging and Special/Fragile Items


    The Sender must ensure that the freight is suitably packaged for transit and well protected to prevent possible damage.
  • No packaging materials are available from the pickup drivers
  • Machinery must be crated – these goods travel at "Owners Risk"
  • China and Glass must be professionally packed – these goods travel at "Owners Risk"
